Your privacy is important to us. The Drive Explorer Pro extension for Google Sheets is designed to work securely with your Google Drive and Sheets data, without collecting or storing it outside your account.

No Content is Stored or Read

When you use Drive Explorer Pro, your files and file details stay in your Google account.

  • We do not store your Google Drive files or spreadsheets on external servers.
  • We do not read or analyze the content of your files.
  • We do not use your data for advertising, analytics, or any purpose beyond the features you use.

The extension only processes the files and details you select, and only to update your Google Sheet.

No Personal Data Collected

Drive Explorer Pro does not collect:

  • Your personal profile information
  • Your Google Drive contents (other than the files you explicitly select)
  • Your spreadsheet data (other than the cells where you ask the extension to write)

All actions are limited to your Google account and happen within Google’s secure environment.

Secure by Design

  • Minimal permissions: The extension requests only the permissions required to connect Google Sheets with Google Drive.
  • User-initiated actions: Uploading or listing files only happens when you click the respective buttons. Nothing runs in the background without your action.
  • Google security: All processing and file handling take place inside Google’s secure systems through their official APIs.

Permissions Explained

Here is why Drive Explorer Pro requests specific permissions:

  • Google Sheets access: To write file details (like file name, size, and links) into your spreadsheet.
  • Google Drive access: To upload files you select and to list files from the folder you choose.
  • Sidebar access: To display the extension panel inside Google Sheets so you can work without leaving your spreadsheet.
  • Google Account identity: To link the extension to your account and ensure it uses the correct Drive and Sheets.

Drive Explorer Pro does not get unrestricted access to your Google Drive — it only works with the files and folders you choose.

You’re in Control

  • You decide when to upload or list files.
  • You choose which file details to include in your spreadsheet.
  • You can remove the extension at any time from the Google Workspace Marketplace or your Google account settings.
