Installation Guide

The Drive Explorer Pro extension can be installed in just a few clicks. Follow the steps below to set it up and start using it in Google Sheets.

Installing from Google Workspace Marketplace

Available in Google Workspace Marketplace

  1. Open the Drive Explorer Pro Marketplace listing.

  2. Click the Install button.

  3. Review and accept the required permissions.

    • Drive Explorer Pro needs access to Google Drive and Google Sheets to upload files, list files, and update your spreadsheet automatically.
  4. Once installation is complete, open any Google Sheet.

  5. You will now see Drive Explorer Pro listed under the Extensions menu in Google Sheets.

After Installation

  • Open Google Sheets, click on Extensions > Drive Explorer Pro > Open Drive Explorer Pro, and the tool will appear in the side panel.

  • You can now:

    • Upload files from your computer to Google Drive directly from Google Sheets.
    • List files already in your Google Drive and record their details into your sheet.
  • Your Google account is automatically linked, so you don’t need to sign in again once permissions are granted.

Additional Notes

  • Who can install: Both individual users and Google Workspace domain admins can install the extension.
  • Admin Install: Workspace admins can install it for all users in their organization, making it available across all company accounts.
  • Permissions: The extension only requests the minimum access needed to connect Sheets and Drive.
